Then, add 1 cup of vinegar to 1 cup of lukewarm water, soak a clean cloth in the mixture and use it to dab out the stain. Dry the stain with your dry cloth. Repeat this process until the stain disappears.
Gum Stains
Gum stains, while less likely to occur at the office, are more difficult to manage. If a lose piece of gum ends up on your office carpet, fill a small baggy with ice cubes and rub the ice over the gum until it freezes. Then, use a dull knife or the edge of a spoon to scrape the gum away. Once that is done, dap the spot underneath with a cloth dampened in a solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water.
